Chemistry Degree at Universidad Nacional De Cordoba

The Chemistry degree holders may work independently completing specific projects and providing expert advice in arbitrations and appraisals, or they may perform expert functions for banks, the Justice Department or other official institutions. They may also carry out feasibility studies of the production of new products and research to develop new materials.
They have the knowledge to research the substances which constitute matter, their combinations, their structures and properties, their variations and laws and processes that govern their transformations and behavior; and to carry out analyses and chemical and physicochemical tests of materials of natural or artificial origin to establish their characteristics.
They can synthesize and elaborate pure substances or mixtures from natural or artificial materials to determine their composition, structure and properties.
They may also organize, run, coordinate, supervise, execute and evaluate the activities which are carried out in a lab where analyses, tests, syntheses or preparation of substances are performed; and may also decide on the equipment and conditions of the laboratory installations and control its safety conditions. Furthermore, they may take part in the control and drafting of regulations and specifications of the quality of materials, products and environmental pollutants.
