COURSE OBJECTIVES

In-depth scientific and operational training in the field of chemistry and production process technologies, with a special focus on process-product links and on a more efficient and environmentally friendly use of natural and sustainable resources. The course tackles problems relating to planning and increase in scale, including assessment of costs as well as of quality management and control in small, medium and large-scale production plants, also by coordinating multi-professional teams at executive level..

CORE SUBJECTS INCLUDED IN BOTH PROGRAMMES

industrial-chemical and technological disciplines: industrial chemistry and laboratory activities, industrial chemical and purification plants and laboratory activities, industrial organic chemistry and laboratory activities, process research and development, fermentation chemistry and industrial microbiology, chemistry and polymer synthesis II;
chemical disciplines in the catalytic technology sector: enzymatic catalysis, nanotechnology and chemistry, solid state chemistry, innovative catalytic methods.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

In-depth knowledge in various sectors of chemistry – both theoretical and experimental – developing the capacity to develop and/or apply original ideas, often in a context of pure or applied scientific research. Postgraduates will have a sound grounding in chemical concepts and principles of eco-compatible which can be applied to chemical production processes and will be capable of using the scientific language competently and effectively. They will seek to continuously augment their competences and develop their personal knowledge and professional skills.

CORE SUBJECTS INCLUDED IN BOTH PROGRAMMES

analytical chemical disciplines: analytical chemistry, analytical chemistry of pollutants, environmental impact assessment procedures;
inorganic chemical and physical-chemical disciplines: organometallic chemistry, reaction mechanisms;
chemical and physical disciplines: physical chemistry , solid state chemistry;
organic chemical disciplines: organic chemistry, environmentally friendly organic synthesis.
